on my birthday two years ago, many special things happened on me. and iwould
remember them forever.
that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on my way tothe
classroom, i saw some of my classmates. but when they saw me, they rushedaway. that made me confused. because they would talk to me or play jokes on mebefore. but it was strange today.
when i came into the classroom, i found the atmosphere was quitestrange.
everybody looked at me and laughed loudly. suddenly they all said in goodorder,“happy birthday to you!” then they began to sing “happy birthday toyou~~~~~~” that made me moved. i never told anyone about my birthday, how didthey know? i believed they must have done a lot of things. at that moment, ifound nothing to say but thanks instead!
after school, a thing coming as a surprise happened on me on my way backhome. when i was riding suddenly a crowed of people rushed out to stopped mybike.i recogized them at once. they were my senior classmates. they allcomlained to me,“why don"t you tell us about your birthday? don"t you fear thatwe will let you stand treat? this time you owe us.” then each of them gave agift and a card with best wishes to me. i was deeply moved again. i suggestedhaving a dinner together. but they all refused because of the time. then theyleft me saying we would ask you to pay us another day!
when i got back home, i thought of everyth hing happened today. suddenly ifelt so happy because i had such great friends around me. i thanked them fromthe bottom of my heart. i would value the precious friendship forever!
i have so many feelings through that special day. the only rose withoutthorns in the world is friendship. a true friend is someone who reaches for yourhand and touches your heart. truly great friends are hard to find, difficult toleave, and impossible to forget. one friend in a lifetime is much, two are many, three are hardly possible. stick to make friends, for life without friends islike life on a desert island. to find one real friend in a lifetime is goodfortune, to keep him is a blessing.
thank you for your attention!
Good morning teachers and fellow students. Today we would like to introducea few favorite books to you.
My favorite book is (Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italianboy Enrico. The diary is about his life and study. It included various touchingstories that happened around Enrico, the mottos taught by his parents, as wellas the wonderful ten "monthly" stories told by his teacher during the class.Every word in the chapter describes the word "love". From patriotism tofriendship, and to the love between parents and child -- really touching.
This novel taught me how to love, and how to learn from love. I really likethis book very much. How about you? What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is . Have you read it before?
Oh, I haven t read this book before. What is it about?
Well, it is a story of a rich girl who maintained her noble character afterthe bankruptcy of her father. The story is happy ending.
Can you tell us why you love this book so much?
Sure. It is because the story taught us to be brave and to face thechallenges and difficulties with courage. I am deeply impressed by the strengthand perseverance of the little princess in the story. I have decided to learnfrom her from now on.
Oh I see, the story sounds very good. I cannot wait to read this book aswell.
Good morning everybody,
I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. We all know thatBingxin has a famous saying “we always admire the beauty of flowers but itssprout was watered by tears of struggle and rained by blood of sacrifice”.
So for the majority, behind their success, are filled of sweat and tears.Eagle flying in the vast firmament, must be experienced the pain of countlesstimes fall under the cliff, then hammered out a pair of volley wings. A shinningof pearls, inevitably suffered countless body friction and numerous waves’shock. In this view, a real successful people, and he must experienced numeroustimes to stand up again and agin after failed, because without sweat and tearson the life road ,no one can casually get the beautiful flowers. Alfter a heavyfall Shi Tiesheng lost his legs, it must be a heavy blow for anyone. But hedidn"t lose faith in life, but use his brain and hands to show the infinite loveof life.
Beethoven was blind and deaf, but he still had written the"Hero""Destiny"nd so on a large number of music works, in his unfortunatelylife, he doggedly gripped the "fate of the throat. They all had a fall, but theyare strong enough to stand up, fight against fate and misfortune, finally theysucceed. So for each of us, wrestling is not terrible, lose confidence andcourage in life is the most terribe thing. In my opionion, the sweat and tearsduring the life’ journey are very important for us, they hone our will, andenrich our experience.
As the saying goes, how can you see the rainbow without a rainy day, whileyou don"t work hard and not struggle, how can you gain the successful flowers. All in all, the sweat and tears on the struggling road is inevitable, don’t lookfor shortcuts anymore, steadfast walk every step, we will succeed in theend.
So belief yourself, nothing is impossile, just do it. Thank you for takingyour time to listen to my speech, I hope in the near future we all can besuccessful.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today i am so happy to stand here to giveyou a speech。Or rather, a real story of mine。
Though with time going by,i can still remember what you once told me。Youshould be a brave girl。Smiling, you looked into my eyes。Year in,year out, nearlymost of my memories are fading little by little。But only this simple sentenceremained, without being forgotten in my life。
Again and again,i can not stop myself from thinking about it。Soordinary, but so impressive,so moving, just like the brightest sunshine,it helpsme go through the darkest night。I am such a sensitive girl in your heart。Yousaid,my sorroful facial expression made feel so distersssed。However, there is onething i never tell you, that is ,i am being a big girl gradually with your wordsand smiles。I never tell you about it,for i believe oneday, you can see the greatchanges of mine for yourself。That is what i want to do in return。As i know, thatwill be the best gift for you。
I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO ON。There is a beautifulsentence going like this。You are safe in my heart。More than once,i was moved totears by it。I know ,i am also safe in your heart。i have already forgotten when itold you i was going to leave for Australia this summer holiday。You just smiledas usual, gently speaking。Whatever you decide to do,i will be in favor of it,but, just onething, remember, when you fell lonely abroad,do not forget we are here, praying for you。We are all around you,far across the distance and space betweenus。i closed my eyes, the flashback started。The memories we had together, once weplayed games on the palyground,we played jokes on each other, you always wrote alot of sentences on my articles to encourage me。And the most unforgetablething, you told me,you believed m i could be a big girl。Sooner or later。
At that specific moment,i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentencetotally。So on that day,i smiled as you used to,looking at you。The last words isaid were, keep walking in sunshine。
Yes,keep walking in sunshine。I said to you ,also to myself。I know i am notalone wiht your pany, and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minute ofour days。
I promise,i will be a big girl。
I promise,i will be a brave girl。
I promise,i will keep walking in sunshine。
That is my speech,thank you!
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
When I was little, I lived in a remote village in southern China with mygrandparents. Like many kids in the countryside, I enjoyed digging a hole in theopening among paddy fields, using branches and hay to bake sweet potatoes andplaying hawk-and-chicken with my friends. Every Chinese New Year Eve, mygrandmother would prepare our festive food called Guo. It was a tradition thatneighbors help each other prepare Guo. While adults were busy pouring flour onthe cutting board, pressing the paste flat and moulding it into beautiful shape, kids would run around in the village’s ancestral temple and immerse ourselves inthe enchanting and cheerful smell of holiday.
Having lived in the city for the following ten years, I always feel thechanges happening in my hometown every time I go back--the village lookssurprisingly similar to the coastal city where I live! The opening field where Ibaked potatoes was leveled and a manufacturing factory has been built there, blocking the sunlight of our yard. The ancestral temple has been torn down andis now a small supermarket for villagers. The number of people knowing how toprepare Guo is diminishing and young people seem to be more interested in fastfood and oblivious of traditional arts and skills. The village seems quite emptybecause most young people have become migrant workers in cities and only returnhome once or twice a year.
In the course of urbanization, villages gradually languish and die out whenthe passing on of traditions lose its population base. The total number ofChinese villages has declined from 3.7 million in 20__ to 2.6 million in 20__.Approximately 300 villages in China are disappearing every day. It’s saddeningto see that many ancient villages, which survived warfare and natural disastersover thousands of years, have been demolished or annexed by cities in peacetime.Lulei Village, hometown for the famous mathematician, Chen Jingrun, was anaffluent village in southern China with a history of over 700 years. Since thevillage obstructed the construction of the local railway station, it was almosttorn down, including the former residence for Chen’s family.
We Chinese have been reveling in urbanization for decades. What worries meis that one day on this way to modernization, we turn back but are unable to seethe link with our origins and ancestors. When we’re surrounded by skyscrapersand neon glamour, what defines us as Chinese? Urbanization does not meanbrutally encroaching upon the countryside and strangling rural culture. Itshould not sever the ties with our beloved homeland. While promoting thecountry’s economy, it should also allow space for cultural diversity. In theideal urbanization process, we should no longer emphasize the binary oppositionof city and village, but endeavor to form a reciprocal relationship between thetwo.
Ladies and gentlemen, fallen leaves return to the roots. If we do notredefine and reorient urbanization, we will not be able to save millions ofvillages, neither can we revert to the origin where we belong.
Thank you.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Today I’m glad that I’m standing here talking to you all. As the titlegiven, I am going to talk you about a way of treating people and things in life.My speech here basically includes 2 parts, in the former of which I‘ll describeyou the present occasion we teenagers are in, as well as the reason behind. Thenit’s about the several opinions of mine toward the case above.
Undoubtedly, every one of us has stepped into adolescence, a period of timewhere the most exciting and mysterious changes take place. Boys, apparentlybecome more ambitious. Girls, in some ways, start to dream and become moresensitive about the world. All in all, as if our emotions become much stronger, somehow we’re always trapped in circles and struggling against something thatcan’t be changed anyway. We complain about how fragile our friendship is, howlittle people know about us, how unfair the life is,etc. It seems that everytime we fail, we blame it to the tough conditions we’re in, while never notice aproblem inside ourselves, that we’re never satisfied.
Let’s just imagine that there was an old lady. What she sees was herneighbors’ being mean again while not how kind they were when they took care ofher sick body. What she saw was her dog’s annoying barking while not how muchloyalty it had shown. What she saw was always so depressing that it finallyturned her into an unpleasant person. Think about how our life would be if westand in her shoe.
Why don’t we focus our attention on how much we’ve already got in stead? You know it’s really simple to do as there’s a tremendous amount of examples.Like the popular Jetpack Joy Ride on your Iphone, you can enjoy it whenever youlike, whereas in some poor area people don’t even know such thing as Iphone.
Actually we should be thankful about the richness we’ve got, thankful thatwith each sunrise taking place we don’t need to starve to call it a day, thankful that the people we love are still in health, that we still got much tohold on. As a saying on website,” The world is tough, but I’m tougher.” Whatdoesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Every day is a gift from life, all we need is to accept it, cherish thelessons life has taught us, so as to achieve our goal with high spirit. In thisway, someday when we leave the world, we leave no regrets.
Thank you for listening.
